Project Overview
Commissioned to create a launch campaign for Deliveroo as they introduced their drone food delivery service in Blanchardstown, Dublin. The goal was to visually demonstrate how drone delivery works in a way that felt futuristic, trustworthy, and engaging for paid ads and social media. The concept centred around a simple customer journey: ordering sushi online and having it delivered by drone, straight from the sky.
The Challenge
A highly complex production requiring extensive logistical planning and coordination between Deliveroo’s internal marketing and operations teams, a local sushi restaurant preparing the order, the video/drone production team, and strict Irish airspace and aviation regulations. Air-to-air drone shots are technically demanding and leave little room for error.
Our Approach
A multi-format content package designed for performance-driven advertising: high-end cinematic video for hero ads, UGC-style content for social platforms, and professional stills for paid media. The shoot was planned in detail — mapping flight paths, coordinating talent movement, and capturing precise moments where the drone enters and exits frame naturally.
Production & Execution
Filmed in Blanchardstown, Dublin, with a controlled setup to meet safety and regulatory requirements. One of the most challenging elements was executing clean air-to-air drone shots, where one drone films another in motion — requiring advanced piloting, rehearsals, and exact framing.
The Result
Final deliverables helped Deliveroo successfully launch their drone delivery offering — showcasing the speed and simplicity of drone-based food delivery, a futuristic yet accessible customer experience, and a real-world use case filmed on location in Dublin. Content was optimised for digital advertising and social platforms.
